"Nunset Boulevard" has turned into a smash hit with its World Premiere at Chanhassen Theatre in Minneapolis. The cast album has been recorded and will be available by the end of the year. Tams-Witmark is already licensing productions (212-688-2525) and the run in Minneapolis has been extended. Featuring our primo New York Company, the show has received standing ovations and cheering audiences. The storyline puts the Sisters in Hollywood thinking they are to perform at the Hollywood Bowl. Only it turns out to be the Hollywood Bowl-Arama, a local bowling alley. When the Sisters find out there is a screen test for a major film happening across the street they are certain this is their chance for movie stardom. Featuring songs like: The Hollywood Blondes, That Kid's Gonna Make It, and Bowling Ball Blues, this looks like the latest in a long line of "Nunsense" successes.
"Sister Robert Anne's Cabaret Class" which opened at Playhouse on the Green in Bridgeport, CT has proven to be an enormous hit. Every performance starring Deborah Del Mastro as Sister Robert Anne with musical direction by Leo P. Carusone has received a standing ovation. The "One-Nun-sense Musical" features songs introduced by Sister Robert Anne in the many "Nunsense" shows including two new songs from the upcoming "Nunset Boulevard" show. Approaching the audience as a class of students interested in creating their own cabaret act, the premise allows for lots of audience interaction, and as in all the "Nunsense" shows, lots of humor. We are now looking to move ahead with booking the show into other venues.
